Every finger is its own voice: roll your fingers like tapping a table, or double-tap one pad with two fingers. Auto velocity uses pressure, finger size and the motion sensor when your device has them, and otherwise where you hit the pad. Edges play softer and brighter.

Real CC0 multi-samples, in tune across the range. + 8 / + 16 pads lays the instrument over your key & scale (hold a pad to sustain, lift to release). Keys + MIDI makes your computer keyboard (A W S E D F T G Y H U J K O L P ; ', Z/X = octave) and any MIDI keyboard play it chromatically; drum controllers on channel 10 still hit the kit. In VR choose the Table layout to play the same pads.

Key & scale

for melodic pads

Any sound becomes an instrument: pick a sound in the Sound lab and choose “Add as playable scale”, or edit a pad and press “Spread to scale”. Designed keys, bass, plucks, bells and pads start in tune. NBRZ songs set the key for you.

Song stems

Dynamics 100%
Conductor idle

Stems start together on beat 1 and follow tempo as varispeed. NBRZ songs load as an instrumental and a vocal you can ride separately.

MIDI

Plug in any drum controller or keyboard: General MIDI drum notes play the matching sounds, and pads can learn any note. Every hit goes out on channel 10, conductor dynamics on CC11, stem levels on CC7.

Conduct & theremin

baton · cues · key-locked theremin · motion sweetening
Conductor idle
Theremin off 80%

Conduct like you would an orchestra: the bottom of each bounce is the beat, the big drop from the top marks beat 1, so drawing 2, 3 or 4 patterns sets the meter. Three steady beats start the band. Pick a section, then swell it, bring it down, or cut it off. In the headset your left hand does that: point at a stem orb, palm up and rise, palm down and sink, make a fist. The theremin plays any mix of sounds, locked to the key set in Key & scale.

On this screen

  • Pads: Q W E R · A S D F · Z X C V · J K L ;
  • 1–9 record or stop a loop · Space play/stop · U undo · T tap tempo
  • Any gamepad plays drums; triggers are velocity-sensitive

Touch

  • Use as many fingers as you like; each one is its own hit
  • Hold and drag up/down to bend, sideways to sweep the filter
  • Edit layout to move, duplicate, resize or retune pads

Controllers & hands

  • Strike down through a pad; harder hits play louder. All five fingertips play
  • Squeeze grip on a pad to move it · A rec · B next loop · X play · Y undo
  • Panel: switch layout (Classic, Two-hand, Table) and duplicate pads

Conductor

  • Turn on Conductor, beat 2/3/4 patterns with your right stick or hand; hold still = fermata
  • Big = louder, sharp = staccato, smooth = legato
  • Left hand: point at an orb to cue · palm up/down to swell · fist = cut-off · pinch = next section
  • Left controller: trigger at an orb cues · stick ←/→ section, ↑/↓ swell · grip = cut-off
